Faeria art spotlight

When you’re busy building towards your opponent’s base to wreck their orb with a Yellow Rush deck, or patiently gathering Faeria with a quiet Mono Green deck, it can be easy to forget the beautiful art right in front of your eyes. The Faeria crew spends countless hours working to create the perfect style for each and every card, the beauty of which is often overlooked during intense matches. Although we wish we could show all of them, we’ve picked

The latest patch was filled with Pandora mode and sweeping changes to many cards, and now that these changes have had a couple days to exist in the wild, it’s time to look back and see which card changes are the most drastic or have otherwise impacted the game the most: 1. Latest Faeria patch reworks the most powerful cards in the game.

As Faeria is still in it’s beta phase, now is the time for drastic balance changes and completely redesigns. Faeria designers know this, and as a result the latest patch has done just that: completely redesigned the most powerful cards in the game. I am, of course, talking about each colors respective Colossus. These 8/8 giants felt like an auto include in most decks, and their “build around me” card text was too easily satisfied.  In the official patch notes,

The Power wheel vs. RNG

Like all card games, Faeria gives players the option of choosing the type of cards they play. You can play red cards, blue cards, green cards, yellow cards, or neutral cards. These cards require resources to play, but Faeria’s system maintains the integrity of a colored resource system (and the strategic implications of choosing a color) while eliminating the dreaded “mana screw”. Mana screw is a Magic the Gathering term that comes from not drawing any resources needed to play
